| Trikes Unlimited is a well established company from Maple Ridge, BC. We brought the shop to Duvall, Wa. in June, 1999.
Our conversions fit the Goldwing 1200 and 1500. We do not sell the kits as such. We do all the work for less than most other companies sell just the kit.
Our 'bolt on' frame is constructed of heavy gauge steel tubing. It attaches to the existing bike frame without any required welding. By assembling the conversions ourselves we are able to 'fill' any empty holes that might be made by the use of narrow seats, etc.. with molded plastic inserts at no extra charge. Receiver type trailer hitch is standard equipment.
Although there are other kits that look like Trikes Unlimited, ours are easily identified by the 1934 Ford Tail lights. We also include 6 running lights and 2 turn signal lights.. However, we will wire in any other lights that you have purchased elsewhere, within reason, at no extra charge.
Due to the added weight of the trike we use 2 Air Shocks rather than just the original equipment which is in most cases 1 Air Shock and 1 Spring shock. The Air Shocks are plumbed into the original system. They can easily be adjusted for comfort or the added weight of a trailer or passenger.
We use small Ford Rear Ends such as Mustang & Pinto. They are modified to match the drive shaft line on the existing bike. The axles and tubes are shortened to accommodate an approximate fender width of 54". The rear ends are completely disassembled, inspected for any flaws and excessive worn parts. The Bearings, Axle Seals, Pinion Seal, Axle Wheel Bearings, Wheel Cylinders, Brakes Shoes and fittings are replaced with new. Tires required are 14 or 15", your choice. The tires are mounted and balanced. We use brushed aluminum rims.
The original touring trunk will be 'water-proof' mounted on top of the new inner truck.
All fiberglass parts are professionally molded in our molds with a smooth gel coat finish. These can be color-matched to existing bike or the entire bike can be painted.
Ask anyone who rides a trike and they will tell you how much they enjoy them. They are every bit as much fun as a 2-wheeler and a whole lot safer.
